Previously, Indian photovoltaic manufacturing and EPC company Jupiter International Limited announced an investment of INR 75 billion (approximately USD 750 million) to expand annual production capacity and enter the vertical integration field, adding 3GW of silicon wafer production capacity.

According to the plan, Jupiter will build a 9.4GW battery production line and a 6GW component production line in the next three years, with a focus on TOPCon battery technology. This expansion will make Jupiter a fully integrated photovoltaic manufacturer, covering the production of silicon wafers, solar cells, and modules, with full control over the supply chain.

Currently, Jupiter has a 1GW photovoltaic module manufacturing plant in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The company stated that this vertically integrated investment will help improve quality control capabilities, operational efficiency, and cost optimization, while further enhancing its ability to deliver high-performance, reliable photovoltaic solutions to meet the growing market demand.

Previously, Jupiter announced plans to build a 1.8GW battery production line and a 1.2GW component production line, and received a 3 billion rupee investment from ValueQuest. In addition, the company has also established a joint venture with AmpInEnergy to build an integrated production capacity project of 1.3GW batteries and 1.3GW components.
