Solar power generation systems can generally be divided into two types: solar off grid power generation systems and solar grid connected power generation systems.

The solar off grid power generation system generally consists of solar panels, controllers, and batteries. If you want to power AC loads, you also need to equip an AC inverter. The off grid power generation system will store the electricity on the battery for use by the equipment.

The solar grid connected power generation system is a system where the DC electricity generated by solar modules is converted into AC electricity that meets the needs of the city through grid connected inverters and then connected to the public grid.

The workflow of solar power generation system:

During the day, under lighting conditions, solar cell modules generate corresponding potentials, and a solar cell array is formed based on the series and parallel connection of the modules, promoting the voltage of the array to meet the input voltage requirements of the system. According to the charging and discharging controller, charge the battery and store the electrical energy converted from light energy.

At night, the battery pack provides input power to the inverter. Based on the function of the inverter, DC power is converted into AC power and transmitted to the distribution cabinet for power supply. The charging and discharging situation of the battery pack is controlled by the controller to achieve normal use of the battery. The solar power generation system should also have limited load protection and lightning protection devices to protect the system equipment from overload operation and lightning strikes, and maintain the safe use of the system equipment.
