Edison, Vimit Energy, and Chinese leading photovoltaic module manufacturer Taoist Solar have signed an agreement to supply modules for the construction of six photovoltaic power stations in Sicily, Italy. These power stations have a total installed capacity of approximately 170 megawatts and are planned to be put into operation by the end of 2025. They are expected to generate 240 gigawatt hours of electricity annually and reduce over 100000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions annually.

Italy is the core market for our renewable energy layout in Europe. The country has abundant sunshine resources, a windy region, and a political commitment to promote the expansion of renewable energy, "said Arthur Dong, Global Market Head of Taoistic Solar." We are pleased to sign an agreement with industry leader Edison to support his ambitious decarbonization goals
Six power stations will be built in southern Italy, specifically located in Lippone, Madonna Buona, Spatolidda, Roccolino Soprano, Partanna, and Liotta. The generated electricity will be collected by Edison and supplied to its customers through multi-year power supply contracts.
With the support of regular loans from financial institutions such as Bank of Sao Paulo, UniCredit, BPER Bank, and National Labor Bank in Italy, Edison gained significant financial advantages through these self owned energy power plants. About 16.6% of high profit projects are equipped with these six renewable energy power stations, which is five percentage points higher than other enterprises.
