On February 1st, US President Trump signed an executive order imposing a 10% tariff on goods imported from China.
This latest trade protection measure by the United States has faced widespread opposition both internationally and domestically.

The White House announced on the same day that the United States will impose a 10% tariff on all goods imported from China on top of the current relevant tariffs.

Trump said that this is consistent with the "protectionist measures" he supports.

The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously stated that China has repeatedly expressed its position and always believes that there is no winner in trade wars and tariff wars.

China has always been steadfast in safeguarding national interests.
A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce previously stated that China's position on tariff issues has been consistent.
Tariff measures are detrimental to both China and the United States, as well as to the entire world.

According to the executive order, the United States will also impose a 25% tariff on goods imported from Mexico and Canada, with a 10% increase on Canadian energy products.
