Recently, at the 5222m high altitude "life restricted zone", a pioneering "world's highest" photovoltaic power generation project - Xizang Huadian Shannan East Asia Duichaipeng 100000 kW photovoltaic power generation project was started by Kunming Institute in Caipeng Village, Shannan City, Xizang.
This photovoltaic power generation project is a key energy project carefully planned for special geographical environments and natural conditions, and is scheduled to be completed and put into use by October 31, 2024. The site elevation is between 5046 meters and 5228 meters, with a DC side installed capacity of 102.5574 kilowatt hours per square meter and a rated capacity of 100000 kilowatts.
This project not only bears the important task of providing clean and reliable energy for the local people, but also is another vivid interpretation of the Xizang spirit of "no fear of hardship, no lack of spirit of hypoxia, and higher altitude" by POWERCHINA Kunming Design&Research Institute.
