Waaree Energies: Trial Production Of 5.4GW Solar Cell Factory

Indian photovoltaic company Waaree Energies Limited announced that its 5.4GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Gujarat has started trial production on January 6, 2025.

Waaree Energies stated that the company is currently the largest photovoltaic module manufacturer in India. As of June 30, 2024, the company's photovoltaic module production capacity has reached 13.3GW, distributed in five manufacturing bases in Chikhli, Surat, Tumb, and Nandigram, all located in Gujarat.

It is reported that Waaree Energies announced its entry into the battery manufacturing field in October 2022 and plans to build a 5.4GW battery production capacity. In addition, the company plans to establish a 2GW photovoltaic module factory in the United States and expand it to 5GW
