Edge Taping:

Purpose: To protect the edges of the solar panel (after lamination) from moisture ingress, mechanical damage, and potential electrical hazards. It also provides a clean, finished appearance.

Backsheet Taping (Less Common):

Purpose: In some panel designs, tape might be used to temporarily hold the backsheet in place before lamination or to reinforce certain areas.

Tape Type: Varies depending on the specific application.

Machine Function: Similar principles of precise application and adhesion apply.
